Who doesn’t remember spending endless summer hours chalking away on the driveway?
Well, you may not have the time to spend endless hours chalking away, but I’m willing to bet you could spare a few hours this summer to relive your childhood and make new memories chalking it up in the Ohio State Fairs 2012 Street Art competition.
On Aug. 4, participants in this new competition will use chalk and either a 4x4 or 8x8 area of asphalt on the grounds to paint a scene at the Fair.
First, second and third place winners will be awarded. First place will win $200 for their creative chalking skills.
You have until July 15 to enter, so sign up and start chalking!

The new website is not ready just yet, so we have activated the links on the current site www.ohiostatefair.com , under Fine Arts you will find the Enter Online link, you can also find a link to the Prospectus and a general resizing guideline provided by OAC (our specific size requirements are in the Prospectus.)

Please join us for a workshop that does it all. You bring original artwork in that you would like to enter into the 2012 Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. When you leave, you will be entered in the exhibition (we will have computers to help you with the new online process) and you will have a CD with all of your digital images on it to take home.
PLEASE NOTE: The cost of this workshop is in addition to the Fine Arts entry fees, please review the Prospectus for Exhibition Guidelines and fees.
Remember entry deadline is May 29, 2012!
